Learn to Create Your Own Maple Syrup: $40
This course walks you through the entire syrup making process from tapping the tree to boiling the sap to finished syrup.
Homemade maple syrup is not like the thick, viscous pancake syrup we have all become used to in groceries stores and on diner tables. That product is loaded with additives and high fructose corn syrup to create a thick, molasses-like texture. True maple syrup is somewhat thinner in consistency than pancake syrup, and has an incredibly sweet flavor with earthy undertones. Simply put, it's amazing.
This class will teach you the basics of identifying sugar maple trees, suggest which tools and equipment are needed to tap effectively, demonstrate the tapping and sap harvesting process, and walk you through the boil from start to finish.
